Can you buy replacement blades without the rubber covers ?. The rubber comes off as little bits in food
Did Breville ever fix the issue with the rubber coming off the beaters into the food? I need to know this before buying!
Does the cord swivel from side to side?
Has anyone used this without the rubber coverings? I wonder if it mixes just as well without them.

Wow! Amazing quality! Worth the purchase!

Wow! Can't say enough about this mixer! Worth the purchase!!!!! I've used basic hand mixers for years, then got into making marshmallows for my stomach issues. My old mixer took 15- 20 minutes to make marshmallows half as fluffy as what u see in the pic!!! ( my old mixers motor was starting to burn out cuz it would take so loong! ) This one... 6.5 minutes and I only stopped cuz the fluff was about to flop over my mixing bowl! ( same bowl as before and it never got close to top! ) it was also sooooo quiet!!! Easy to use! The pause button is grrat and the timer is sooo helpful! If u need a great mixer but don't have room for a stand mixer... SOOOOO worth it!!!!

Worth every penny! Forget Kitchenaid

I never write a review on things I've just received, but I'm making an exception for the Breville hand mixer. The Breville is the #1 recommended hand mixer on the internet. But given its price, it wasn't my first choice.I'm 63 years old. I believe in buying the best that you can afford. You'll save money in the long run. For instance, my cookware is solid, multilayered, stainless steel. It'll last my lifetime. I apply this philosophy to everything, researching each purchase beforehand. But, the Breville at $150, seemed awfully expensive for a hand mixer. I've been through 3 Kitchenaid hand mixers. My first one lasted 20+ years. The second lasted 2 years, but was the classic 5 speed, so I bought the digital 9 speed, 5 years ago. It started vibrating an awful lot a year ago, and it finally through a beater out while I was making whipped cream, a bad sign. Kitchenaid has gone downhill since Whirlpool bought it.Determined to avoid Kitchenaid, I went to online, professional reviews. The vast majority graded Breville as #1. I had no doubt about the quality, since I own 2 other Breville appliances. But, the $150 price tag about made me gag.I made a huge mistake by buying a Hamilton Beach "professional" hand mixer. With a 1.3 amp DC motor, it should have been more powerful than the .8 amp Kitchenaid mixer. It wasn't. It not only was slower at the highest speed, I easily stopped the beaters by putting my hand on them while the mixer was on speed 1 (I can't do that with the Kitchenaid). It went back.Mixer #2 should have been a great mixer. I bought a Braun MultiMix. At 350 watts, it's the most powerful one of the bunch. It's made by Braun in Romania. I really liked it, that is until it threw one of the beaters into the bowl while I was mixing cake batter. It started vibrating badly, indicating it was out of balance. At first, I requested a replacement from Amazon, but changed my mind after thinking about it.The Brawn was almost $100. A Kitchenaid 9 speed is $110. I decided to pony up the money for the Breville.Just the heft of the box told me that the build must be very good. The Breville outweighs all of the other mixers. I'm disabled and I've just had rotator cuff surgery, but I had no problems handling the mixer. It's very balanced, with the weight being over the beaters. It's whisper quiet. The light is a welcome addition and lights up what's being mixed very nicely. The beaters fit nicely in the unit; they don't clank or hit each other, even at high speed. Pushing the speed wheel put it into turbo, which is speed 9. The up counting timer is a welcome feature for timed beating. You simply know that you're holding and using a quality appliance from the get-go. I made some old fashioned peanut butter fudge from my grandmother's recipe (the cooker kind). The secret to good fudge is in the beating at the end. Grandmother did it by hand. I use a hand mixer. Fudge turns heavy and stiff, so weak mixers won't work. The Breville didn't slow down or react at all. This is a minor test of the Breville. It's late today. Tomorrow I'm going to make real Bavarian soft pretzels. I usually make bread in my stand mixer, but I'm going to make it with the Breville and dough hooks. I'll update this review. So far, I don't regret spending the extra money OM this mixer, if it lasts as long as my other Breville appliances.

Absolutely Worth It – A Dream to Use!

I’ve only ever had super cheap hand mixers, but over the last six months I’ve gotten into (stress) baking, and dragging out my heavy stand mixer started to feel like driving a Ferrari just to get down the driveway. I already own several Breville small appliances and love their performance and quality, so this hand mixer caught my eye. Before buying, I did a ton of research. I found that other “quality” brand hand mixers weren’t much cheaper, so I decided to spend a little more with the hope that this one would be worth it—and it absolutely is!This mixer performs like a dream. I’ve seen a few negative reviews floating around, but I personally haven’t had a single issue. It’s powerful, smooth, and clearly made to last. The compact design makes it easy to store, and the build quality feels solid and reliable.

Peppy Mixer Motor

I recently used this new hand mixer to make Neapolitan pizza dough, and it did a great job combining and medium-mixing the dough. This mixer is both powerful and convenient, with a built-in light that’s surprisingly useful. The dough hooks handled the high-strength gluten dough with ease. I mixed about 600g of 00 flour, which seems to be the upper limit for this type of dough—anything larger might strain the motor. For smaller batches, it performs well, and if it can tackle pizza dough (which I consider one of the toughest jobs), it will have no trouble handling lighter tasks like cake batter, cookie dough, and mashed potatoes. The included storage container is a great bonus, keeping the attachments organized and the mixer protected while standing upright. Overall, this is a fantastic kitchen tool, well worth the investment for tougher mixing jobs. I made 3 pizzas with the mixer below.

Very solid and sturdy feeling. POWERFUL

Never had a mixer this nice. I have used the dough hooks and never thought I would, the whisks are GREAT TOo.Has a light and a timer. All these things I didnt think were important I love. It was expensive but it was recommended by some people that use this every day. Thought I would try it as I have gone through three mixers ( the super cheap ones 15.00 or around that price) in the past 10 years. Im counting on this one to hold up. Had it for a year now.

Red color is flat matt and maroon.

Quick commet about the red color. The color is a flat maroon or like a deep bing cherry color. I expected a deep red sumilar to a fire truck but darker and shiny. I'd bet all colors are flat.
