Ruffwear - Mt. Bachelor Pad Portable Dog Bed, Overcast Blue, Medium

We bought this for our pup so he can have a bed we can bring with us when travelling with him. We're very happy with it. It's relatively thin as you could imagine in a bed that rolls up, but does provide a small amount of cushion to make a floor or the ground a little more comfortable for your dog.It seems like a very well constructed product with well thought out features. The bottom surface is rubbery, providing friction so it doesn't slide when your dog goes to get on it and seems like it would resist ground moisture nicely as well (though we haven't had the chance yet to put that to the test). It rolls up nicely and has velcro straps built in to make it easy to bundle up, and an integrated handle for carrying - the handle even seems sturdy. It also has a spot on the rubbery bottom to write your dog's name on it with a marker. No idea how well that would hold a permanent marker as we haven't written our dog's name on it as we don't know anyone who has one to mix it up with ours.Our dog is a pretty big boy, an 85 lb. lab mix and he doesn't have any problem fitting on it. It's actually pretty big when unrolled. It's nice to have somewhere for him to sleep that reminds him of home when he goes on an adventure with us. We've only used it indoors so far, but I think it would probably be a great product to bring with you when camping with your dog. It doesn't seem to weigh very much, and I imagine you could roll it up in your own sleeping bag when packing to carry with you on the trail.At home our dog has a more robust bed in our bedroom to do most of his sleeping on, but we also leave this one out for him when he's hanging out with us in the livingroom so it will smell like home for him on the road. We wouldn't want to bring his normal memory foam bed with us, but this is just perfect to travel with.We're happy with it and planning to buy one as a gift for a family member's pup soon too.

I purchased this as a travel bed for my dog and it fits the bill perfectly. He has a thick memory foam bed for at home but needed something of his own to rest on while traveling. The bed is around 1" thick, polyester filled with a microfiber top surface and waterproof underside. The velcro straps and carry handle makes it easy to roll up into a 7" x 14" roll that weighs around 1 lb. It attaches easily to a backpack without adding any appreciable weight at all. I debated between the medium and large size for my 65 lb. lab mix, but the medium is fine. It gives him a place curl up and rest and is small enough to be placed anywhere without being "too much". As with other Ruffwear items I've purchased, I'm happy with the quality.

Great bed, a little thin for the price though. Has held up to a ton of use and multiple washings.

This product is a must buy. It's extremely easy and convenient to pack up. In addition, is jus the right about of cushion for outside. I bought the medium for our lab. The sizing is a littttle small for him but I didn't want to carry something bigger than the medium.

Great concept. Love that you can roll it up. Soft on one side and rubbery on the other. Took it to the farmer's market and my dog stayed on it all day. Unfortunately it doesn't really hold up when you wash it...even if you follow directions to the letter. Too bad as I had hoped to use it for a long time.

For the price I would have expected it to be a lot more durable. After two uses the rubber on the bottom is already torn up, and this is after using it with a tarp underneath. Save your money and get a different camping bed for your dog.

Our greyhound loves this. We go everywhere with it, it’s easy to lug around, and he plops right down (well once he’s entertained his adoring public). So much better than the first one of these we tried, which was too thin to be comfortable.

I have an older version of this and I purchased it as a car seat liner for my Bernese Mountain dog when I got him 7 years ago. The border was different and the bottom is more of a waterproof vinyl. I finally had to purchase a new Mt. Bachelor Pad as I machine wash the older one and the vinyl is starting to chip and leave deposits all over the laundry room. I kept the older one for so long because of it's functionality and hope this newer version will last as long and perform as well. The only qualm I had about the older one is that it is slightly insulated and retains the doggie odor even after being laundered. I am hoping Ruffwear addressed this as well as the bottom material.

Love the fact you can roll it up and secure it with tapes, but also that the tapes are hidden when it's opened out (as it would be prime chewing material for my spaniel otherwise!) Comfy too for a fairly thin bed and a decent size for him. Well thought through product again by Ruffwear!

We use this bed everywhere, the living room at home, travels to the cottage, fits perfectly in the back of my hatchback and we have intentions on using it back packing next summer. Super easy to clean, hair doesn't stick to it and handles many hours of bone chewing. Also handles the abusive of a playful 75 lbs Husky. Overall 5 star product. Rolls up easily and not to heavy to strap underneath a backpack.

Hundebett ist super verarbeitet, pflegeleicht und endlich mal nicht so megadick, so daß sich auch unser gut gepelzter Rotti sofort draufwohlgefühlt hat. Lässt sich klein zusammenrollen und ist perfekt für mit in den Urlaub nehmen. Der hohe Preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt, wennman andere günstigere Exemplare damit vergleicht, die ich zwischenzeitlich entsorgt habe.

diese hundematte ist toll! meine hündin hat sich noch beim auspacken draufgelegt! war schon öfter im einsatz und bis jetzt ist jeder dreck (erde, matsch) fast von alleine wieder runtergegangen (trocknen lassen und kurz ausbeuteln oder abbürsten); platzsparend transportier- und lagerbar; gewaschen habe ich sie allerdings noch nicht. kann sie sehr empfehlen
