It's reasonably easy to set up
This camera is to replace a Loftek ipcamera I had at the bottom of my garden that lasted 2 winters and 1 summer before it started to leak.I've set-up a few ip cameras before including Foscam's but the F19803P is the first one I've set up that uses the H264 streaming format. It's reasonably easy to set up, in fact it's very easy if you set up with the Q code on the camera and your mobile phone, that is as long as your battery does not go flat halfway through the process but that's my fault not Foscam's. Downside to setting up this way is it appears the app the Q code downloads does not work with tablets or at least it does not with my Wifi only Samsung Tab 2 or my Nexus 7 and I find this a bit odd because using a tab with a 10 or 7 inch screen is a lot better than using a phone with 4.3 inch screen even if it is a HD one. I hope Foscam sort this as there are a lot of users I'm sure tether their tablets with their phones or use Mifi devices for bigger and better picture quality.Setting up the camera in Windows 7 and 8.1 had me scratching my head for a while as after following the instruction for finding the camera (I did not follow them to the T because I found it easier just to find the cameras IP address in the router log after connecting with the supplied cable) and after finding the address and entering it in the Chrome browser I had the cameras in-built web server, no problem, no problem that is except not seeing any pictures from the camera? So what I have is the camera's web UI for setting up the camera but no video. The short of it is after getting to the UI, Chrome and FireFox displays what I now know to be the correct UI for the camera but with something missing and looking at the Chrome web page of the cams UI along the top of the page I had (at first) the "Foscam" logo then in the middle of the page a "Settings" tab then to the far right a bit of writing that says "Outdoor Waterproof IP Camera", so what's missing? What's missing is the "Live Video" tab that should be displaying next to the settings tab.Logging out of the page and back in I noticed there is a link on the page above the log-in tabs saying something about the program requiring plug-in's that I must have missed the first time so before going any further I followed the instruction and installed the plug-in's. So now I think great here comes my HD pictures from my new cam but no still no video. I tried restarting the computer but still no go so after scratching my head for another 10 minutes I then noticed a little red explanation mark on the web browsers address bar that apparently clicking on installs more plug-in's (not sure if it's the same one previously installed or Chrome ones) but after clicking this the cameras web UI came up again but this time with the video tab.Anyway a bit of flaffing around for me was well worth it and I'm very happy with the picture from the camera. BTW if you view on a phone there are two options for main stream or secondary stream with the main one being HD and the secondary one being for if your GSM network is not able to cope with the bandwidth. The camera is now about 14 metres away down the garden connected directly to my Virgin SuperHub 2 situated at the back of my house via wifi (so that's one cavity wall and 14 metres of air) and with very little if any stuttering on the feed.Just to finish, at last I hear you say, but I sent info to my grandson in Manchester to access the camera her in Bristol and all is well except he too had problems with plug-in's on his MAC gear but all overcome now.P.S about the fake reviews on this page, why do they do it? This camera is good for how much it cost so it does not need fake reviews but the fakes almost had me looking else where.Just to add to my notes about using pluggings for viewing the camera in Chrome and that it seems you need to go to chrome://flags scroll down the list you will find there and click to enable NIPAPI then restart your computer to take effect. However Google are dropping support for NIPAPI, whatever that may be after Chrome 42 is released so I don't know what will happen then other than using the supplied viewing software or may be FireFox.

Excellent generally, field of vision 70 degrees a little limiting so you need to buy two for some applications.......
PoE makes installation a cinch, configuration is a bit more tricky but straightforwards nonetheless - having bought two I could get both camera feeds, but not on the same screen, all down to username and password issues - would advise not to allow MAC OSX to choose a password for you, in some screens it is not recognised. Only thing I would admit to being a little disappointed with is the field of vision at 70 degrees, I'll have to run another camera to get the coverage over the back garden I need. Recommended, even at 720P it is a fabulous bit of kit. Not much thought has gone into the cable terminations for users wanting to use POE and make a tidy install, I did the best I could anyway.Don't make the same mistakes I did - one camera is easy enough to set up, two can be more tricky1) each camera is assigned a separate IP on your LAN 192.168.0.28........... 192.168.0.29 etc (technically these are 192.168.0.28:88 etc 88 refers to port 88)2) input the same User name and password for each camera - when you first boot up the camera and the user shows as Admin just press enter and a prompt asks you to change your password and user name. I found it easier not to use the password Mac OS X suggested.3) In Basic Settings, in multi camera, you can add of your camera feeds, remember to input the same User name and Password, keeping things simple.4) OK then what? You have set your cameras up, you have a LIVE VIEW, but remember to set the recording schedule and motion alarm detection to SD if you are using an SD card i.e. if not positioned really discretely a thief will just steal the camera rendering the whole exercise worthless or you can use an FTP service....I had never used an FTP service before...... puzzled.........hmmmm........... this looks interesting. www.sensr.net - 7 days home trial so whilst you are sorting yourself out you can enter the FTP details that sensr generates in NETWORK - FTP and then access your cameras over the internet from any device, seems to be more stable than the Foscam software - Support on Sensr is very prompt too.

Study the PoE setup
Be aware this does NOT have a PoE power supply, to make it work with PoE you will need a PoE hub or separate power supply. The camera works fine and the quality is good. The cheaper P version is a better bet if you don't have already have a PoE setup

Good IP Camera for the money. But no good for direct internet streaming from the cam.
Good IP Camera for the money. But here is the downside. If you intend on using with an IP Cam streaming site such as angelcam, click2stream, it will not work. This is because the IP Cam needs the right specs, H264 video and AAC audio. This camera has H264 video, but the specs are slightly off being correct. The audio is PCM and not AAC. It will report invalid parameters even with the latest firmware. Watching on VLC Player is also a problem with the rtsp url, it always freezes up. It will work with Foscam made software and 3rd party, but certainly not for direct IP cam streaming. You will need a more expensive Y-Cam and more expensive Axis IP Cam for that. You get what you pay for.
