I wanted a reasonably priced water heater that also provides nice functions. I was a little worried after reading the first review about the burn marks, but to my surprise it has gotten great reviews elsewhere, so I decided to give it a try.Funny that when I received the package I was deliberately looking out for signs of previous usage or burn marks. But it was brand new. Shiny stainless steel tank. Now it has worked perfectly for me for about a month, no any marks whatsoever. I feel it is a good idea to provide this review, so people don't just walk away from this nice water heater and possibly go for something more expensive but inferior.I did realize that there is a stainless steel exterior version of this heater and tend to be about 10-15 dollars more expensive than this one. But if you check the manufacturer's website, both versions are priced almost the same. So you are spending extra for the look.Other pros than the product description you can read above:--very well built--nice size tank--great easy to read instructions--energy saver features (save energy during night)--to me, it boils water fast, so fast I never realized the wait, but maybe it is due to that I don't always fill it to full--comparatively quietCons:--it can be a little shaky, because the base enables rotation towards any direction, which is supposed to be a nice feature if you have a kitchen island, but if you don't need to turn it from time to time, not so useful. But as long as you put it on really stable surface like kitchen counters, you are fine.Thanks for reading.

Good buy. Great so far. Cooks water faster than my old Tatung Water Pot. Like the delay feature to save energy. Nice stainless steel inner tank. Seems sturdy, but a bit bulkier and larger than the Tatung 4L I had before. The dispense button underneath the spout is a little awkward to use so I don't use it much. Manual dispense is nice for portability and for power outtages. 185 degrees is plenty hot for tea drinkers. Didn't see any water burn marks in my unit, however leaving your unit to run dry is never a good idea. I just unplug it or hit the delay button to stop the heating. Please note that the water will not dispense if unit is heating the water, even if unlock button is pressed. Only manual dispense works when unit is heating. Once water has reached target temperature and is no longer in the boiling stage, all 3 dispense modes will be available. I always remove mineral deposits every month by heating a vinegar/water mixture in the pot and then dumping it out. Lesson learned from last pot: Never overfill an electric water pot as it may cause the plastic around the rim to degrade and flake off.Edited: 4/10/2014Running this unit non-stop for 2 years now with heavy usage. We go through 2-3 pots of water a day in my house. The unit has worked well but started showing a burn ring/discoloration of the steel at the bottom of the unit from the heating element about 6 months ago. Just found some metallic looking rust/brown black flecks in my water this morning. Looks like we'll be looking for a replacement, but we will be looking into a nonstick interior pot instead.

After boiling the first pot of water, water started leaking from the bottom structure.... so it was a return. Going to buy a more expensive and reliable brand. The timer worked fine, and it does make it much easier to get instant hot water.

the unit is loud, seems to cool off and then reheats, so when the water is low, it keeps reheating it and eventually evaporates, and hard to tell when its low, have to open it all the time... sometimes a lot of steam coming out.. anyways, I've had better.. this works fine, its cheap, it works, if thats all you need, i wouldnt say no to it, but if u want something quieter dont get this one.

I year ago I purchased 2 of these as a donation to keep Hot water hot and Coffee hot at a homeless shelter. They worked great everyday with out any problems. Originally I purchased the stainless steel versions of this product. These worked flawlessly for over a year of daily use. We found these were perfect for our situation over using air-pots. With Air-pots, they were expensive for the large ones and if accidentally knocked over the tops would inevitably break.Well the Aroma Hot pots have a larger bottom base and are much more weight to them then air pots and make them almost impossible to knock over.Why did i purchase two more as a donation? Well after a year of use, another volunteer decided to be helpful and on a Friday decided to clean them. I was not their so was not able to stop what they did. They filled them with water and bleach. Not just a little bleach but 1/4 gallon in each pot. Why? "I have no idea". These pots have a stainless steel interior that only require an occasional wiping out with a damp cloth. Needless to say when I came in on Monday the bleach had eaten through the gaskets of the pots. Which made them useless to use cause they would no longer hold water.I then decided to purchase and donate two more of theses to the shelter.But because of limited resources I purchased the white ones because they were cheaper then the stainless steel original ones.I have since put labels on them stating do not wash or clean on them.These pots are great because they have dual dispense functions. you can use the electronic pump, or the air-pump function. Note that the electronic pump will not work until the beverage inside reaches the temperature set. The air-pump dispense function is nice because some of our clients come in for a quick shower and change of clothes and grab a cup of hot beverage, before heading out for a job interview of their part time jobs.If were not for the helpful but damaging cleaning of the volunteer we would still be using the originals I purchased.

I bought this Decemeber 2015. It is a great machine. It works great & looks great in the stainless steel finish. Having readily hot water all the time is perfect for us , we are big tea drinkers & we used it so much during the holidays. Especially when we had large amount of dinner guests everyone had tea & coffee as they wanted. It is all that it is described to be. And this is the largest one I have seen on the market. And price is a great deal compared to what is in retail stores in my area. Would definitely recommend it.

Tout fonctionne à merveille, toutes les fonctions, la pompe, le retrait du couvercle. Aucun arrière goût dans l'eau. Eau bien chaude.3 problèmes par contre :1 - Il ne faut pas que l'eau va sous la barre du 2, car l'eau commence à bouillir à l'extrême et peut faire surchauffer l'appareil.2 - Où l'eau a surchauffé c'est comme une brulure d'eau, ça comme manger cette section seulement.3 - L'extérieur est chaude, pas brulante, mais chaude, faire attention en la manipulant.

product is not quite good. I won;t buy this brand anymore. However, Amazon Refund's process is amazing

Very bad quality. Bought in April 2014, by Oct 2014 dispensing button not work,Start using the manual pump by Feb 2015 also not work.No refund and No replace from Amazon. Very disappointed on this product

Very pleased with this unit. Keeps plenty of water hot. It is difficult to use the manual pump, but the electric pump works great. After 11 months of use, the unit quit working. Took all of 5 minutes to call the manufacturer and with a quick email verifying my purchase and product, they have agreed to send out a replacement. Awesome. Can't beat a company that doesn't give you a hard time if something goes wrong. Just ordered a second unit for a friend.
