SauderPalladia Dresser, Vintage Oak finish

Been obsessed with this dresser for my son’s room and it’s held up just fine for almost two years. I just needed my handy husband to put this thing together because it did come with a few missing holes/things that didn’t align.

Alright guys... here are some pro tips to assembling this:-Overall Assembly - IntermediateDo not attempt to build this alone if you're new to assembling things. If you've built a few things from IKEA,then go for it.Do not attempt to build this in 2 hours. You're in for a ride. Find a long playlist, grab a few beers, and make itenjoyable. It took me a few hours (and I have an engineering degree). You need to pay attention to detail ifyou don't want your build to come out janky.I do not recommend using a power drill like other people have mentioned. Just use a screwdriver so that yourscrews will be flush with the piece, and perfectly aligned.-Receiving delivery & UnpackingMany of the 1 star reviewers complain about the condition... I guarantee you that your pieces came in scratchedor damaged because you unpacked it carelessly. Make sure you unpack everything super carefully and findenough room to safely group each piece type.This thing is VERY heavy. I am very active and go to the gym a few times a week, and I had difficulty lifting this.Get help or slide it into your home VERY carefully. Don't be a tough guy and try to manhandle it. That is howyou unpack damaged pieces.-AssemblyI shouldn't have to mention this but... Follow the instructions very carefully. Step by step - do not skip astep and start assembling the shelves. If someone is helping you, stay on the same step together.The holes ARE pre drilled, if you cannot find the holes, you might have the piece backwards. If this happens,unscrew and go back a step. Do not try to make your own holes. Again, I have an ENG degree and I still did thisa couple of times.-DRAWERSTons of 1 star reviews came from the shelf portion of this. Carefully assemble each shelf and make sure itlines up properly. If it does not, pull it out and adjust the screw on the slider that is attached to the SHELF. Theinstructions do not mention this... but the front screws on the right and left sides should be positioned so thatthe screw is almost to the top of the oval hole, but not completely. Keep adjusting as needed until it is straight.Once you have it lined up correct, make sure the screws are in tight so that they don't catch. This is partly whythe drawer will stick.Finally.... WD40!!!! Invest in a bottle of WD40 if you don't already have some in your house. Rub WD40 all insideof the sliders (top and bottom) and the wheel.End product will be an awesome dresser. You're welcome.

I wanted to buy the matching night stand and dresser than came with my bed but the dresser alone was 500 dollars. I settled for this and I was amazed on how heavy it was and it's sturdy enough. It has deep drawers which means you can stuff more things inside. The color matched very well my bed frame which made me even more happy.Delivery was FAST! Some others I saw said that it needed more days to process even with prime but not this one. Shipped ASAP!The bad thing! When you buy stuff online specially furniture you're taking a gamble because you don't know how shipping will go or packaging. Well one of the boards at the bottom has a nice decent part of the wood broken off and a drawer also had a nice chip off. This is the only reason why I am giving it a 3.5 stars. Because those little things bother me. But lets face the fact, some dude probably getting paid minimum wage to pack these stuff so he could care less on how good he packages the furniture. That's how I see it.The night stand came with no problems and I loved it as well.I didn't like the knobs that well so I just bought my own and replaced them.Overall it was great for the price. I would recommend it. But hope to get lucky and get a clean one.BTW This was time consuming to put together!

Box came busted completely open. The rails for the drawers fell out of the box and onto my porch. The particle board drawer (pics shown, and I should have known better to buy) are scuffed already. We didn’t even get into the package any further to see quality of the rest of the dresser.

This dresser is being used in an office. It is very heavy and great quality. It was fairly easy to assemble.

This took my husband and I about 2 hours to put together. All pieces came in great condition, no issues there. We noticed after assembly the drawers looked a bit crooked and rubbed when closing, but this was easily fixed by adjusting the height of where the screws lie on the sides of the drawers in the tracks. I was fearful the piece would look cheap as it’s not solid hard wood, but it looks really nice! We are very happy with this dresser. Plus we paid almost $100 less on Amazon than on a competitor website, so that was a bonus!

It isn't great. We bought this, 2 nightstands, and the mirror. I was VERY impressed with another Sauder collection we got for the living room. Unfortunately this collection, the dresser in particular, is not the same quality. There are somewhat minor imperfections on some key pieces which once put together make it look kinda shoddy. It does look like furniture you put together yourself. It does the job tough. We didn't want to spend tons for furniture for our bedroom. This holds clothes...but it looks like something you would haveas your first set of furniture. It arrived with a HUGE gash through the top of the dresser...the top piece....so I had to request a replacement. Sauder was super nice and had a new top out to me and at the house in just under a week. Still, I had to store all of the other pieces in the closet for a week waiting for the replacement part. Now that it is all together it just doesn't look great. Beware...if you are buying your first furniture it would probably be okay...but if you are concerned about your things looking nice and lasting, I'm not sure this is the piece. We have cats so I imagine the dresser will be scratched shortly. I dented the new top when putting it together...I leaned on it with a screwdriver in my hand and it crushed a sunflower seed sized dent in the molding on the top. Darn. Great company, not particularly great collection or piece in my opinion
